Selling stuff is my new thing....

Ok. It has happened. I have finally realized, after years of collecting and, well, let's admit it borderline hoarding, I have too much shit! Moving in with my super hot boyfriend (ok, saying that he is super hot was unnecessary to this sentence but I love saying it! heh. heh) has shown me that it is unreasonable to hold on to so much. So much I tell you. I had a beautiful pair of chocolate and teal pinstriped wide-leg slacks by Paul and Joe for Target that still had the tags on them!! I had been holding on to them since before 2007, before Luke was born. Um. that was the last time i was small enough to possibly wear the damn things! Ugh. Would you be surprised to know that was not the only item I have been "collecting" with tags still on it?

So, I had a pretty big garage sale. I had so much stuff to sell that on that hot, windy, and sweaty Saturday, I was selling everything for $1 each. A cute Mexican girl showed up with her mom and was my exact size from before babies and I had to tell her that all my stuff would fit her! Ha! She cleaned up!!

A couple of hours, okay, like 6 hours later, I was about $200 bucks richer and 3 racks of clothes, a box of purses and about 2 tables of shoes lighter! Can you believe, however, I still have more to sell?! Luckily, it is more Autumn/Winter clothing. So, I will give it another go in the Fall.

I may have just glossed over the fact that I moved in with my gorgeous boyfriend. So, let me fill you in. The aforementioned situation afforded me by Dillards earlier this year cost me a lot, including my own apartment. I was very fortunate to have a loving and kind boyfriend that extended the offer for me to move in with him. In moving all my stuff, we were overwhelmed at the volume! We bagged it all up to make it easier to move. You know, moving your stuff into an empty space is wayyyy easier than moving it into a space that someone already inhabits!! So, for a few weeks, we lived with bags of clothes sitting around and on top of one another all over the house. It was like pod people could emerge from them at any minute and kill us!! Ha.

So, it has been slow going trying to edit through and deciding what should stay and what should go. I nostalgically came across my cache of Betsey Johnson stuff. I loved my Betsey days! I worked for Betsey Johnson for about 2 years after I graduated college. (Thank you, Kim!) It was such a great time and Betsey is a fantastic lady! The clothes! Oh, I still adore them! We were the coolest and hottest girls in the whole mall! Ha Ha! It may sound silly, but hey, it is a great memory! Anyway, I was a top seller and eventually manager of the Galleria location prior to the grinding halt retail suffered due to 9/11. You can imagine all the awesomeness that I have that I will never be able to fit into EVER again!! I was a size 7!! We won't talk about my size right now.... Good thing the boyfriend likes my big ass! LOL!
I was too afraid to offer up any of my Betsey stuff at the garage sale. I mean, I'm not wanting top dollar for it. I just want to know that wherever it ends up, the person that owns any of it, loves it and "gets" it as much as I do!

That all being said. The first to come up are some of my super hot and very "Cha Cha" Betsey Johnson heels! They will fit a size 7 1/2 to 8. I have more pics on my Facebook page. What you can't see in the pics is how easy these shoes are to walk in! I swear, I would still wear them if I could fit my 1/2 size too big feet into them! Also, they have very substantial rubber treads on the bottoms. I always felt safe from slipping in my Cholitas!
I would love to sell all of them to one person. I will cut this lucky gal a very good deal. But if someone is just interested in one or two pairs, I am open to that too.
Oh, but I have also cut my hair. So, I HAVE been obsessed with the perfect long necklaces since my new graduated cut covers my ears and almost all earrings are invisible now! Okay, I'm also into long, large and showy earrings too. I super love you Forever XXI! Soooo cheap and fabulous!
